Festival Time!

Each year our students participate in community festivals where they demonstrate the martial art of Taekwon-Do as created by General Choi.

The Caulfield festival is at Princes Park, Caulfield on Sunday February 16th from 12 noon until 4 pm.

The Clayton festival is outside our Clayton dojang the following week on Sunday February 23rd from 12 noon until 6 pm. We will be having a fundraising barbecue as well.

All students are welcome to participate in the demonstrations at the festival, and please come to support our sausage sizzle!

Clayton Community Festival

p1030246For the fourth year in a row, we provided a demonstration of taekwondo at the Clayton Community Festival. It was an overcast day, but the rain held off and the temperature on the mats was very very warm. A dedicated team of students performed for four hours, demonstrating fundamental movements, patterns, sparring, self-defence, special techniques and power. Thanks to all who helped to make the day a success.

More photos from the day are in the Clayton Festival Gallery.

Demo at Clayton Community Festival

The Clayton Community Festival is two weeks earlier than in previous years and is on Sunday 14th February from midday until 6:00 pm. We will again be participating in this event with a demonstration of taekwondo for the local community.

Unlike previous years, the Ashburton Community Fair is not on the same day, so we will be able to focus our full attention to the Clayton event. We would like to showcase students of all belt levels and all ages to promote the message that the martial art of Taekwon-do is for everyone, and USMA Taekwon-Do welcomes students from all walks of life.
